The United States

This module applies the site’s entire method to one case: the United States, past and present. It is built to be read in order, because the order is the method.

  1. The American lineage: the domestic fascist and proto-fascist tradition, 1915 to 1945. The question is not imported.
  2. The postwar tail: Birchers to militias to the online pipeline.
  3. The criteria: the test, stated explicitly before the evidence. Three frameworks, committed in advance.
  4. The evidence: the record since January 2025, organized by institutional domain, every entry sourced.
  5. The debate: named scholars, both sides, at length, steelmanned.
  6. What scholars agree on: the convergence underneath the label fight, which is large.
  7. Assess it yourself: score the case against each framework. No preset answer.

Two commitments govern everything here. Every page links back to the criteria, so any conclusion can be traced to the test that produced it. And this site does not tell you the answer, because the honest state of expert opinion is a genuine, documented disagreement about the label, sitting on top of a genuine, documented convergence about the facts. Both halves are the subject of this module.
